When you are number 25 and 24’s on stage wood is creaking under you as you're stretching backstage
Your teachers are all hugging you as you feel like a bird in a cage, only dancers get the anxiety of being backstage
25 is next and your feet are shaking in fear of forgetting your dance, you step on stage smiling back at the fear
     that once had a chance
Your music plays and many people stare at you in surprise, for male dancers
aren't usually the ones to bring home the prize
You danced your heart out with grace and power while you bowed at the audience's engage, as you step off stage
you completely forgot about the fear of being BACKSTAGE
